Competition Format
🏆 CROWN PADEL TOURNAMENT #1 EVENT FORMAT
👑 Overview
Every team is guaranteed 4 hours of court time, multiple matches, and the chance to compete for the £250 prize pot.
The tournament runs in two Americano rounds, both played to 24 points per match meaning every rally matters.
There are no early eliminations, and every point scored contributes to your overall event total and season ranking.
🎾 TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
ROUND 1: AMERICANO GROUP STAGE
All 16 teams play in a full Americano rotation to 24 points per match.
Teams will rotate opponents throughout the group stage.
Each match’s score (for example, 15–9) adds directly to your total event points.
Once all matches are complete, the top 8 teams progress to the Top Group and the bottom 8 teams go into the Bottom Group for Round 2.
ROUND 2: ELITE & CHALLENGER GROUPS
Both Top and Bottom Groups play another Americano rotation to 24 points.
The Elite Group (1st–8th) competes for the event title, podium positions, and prize money.
The Challenger Group (9th–16th) competes for ranking points all points from every match still count toward the overall leaderboard.
Once all matches are completed:
The Top 2 teams from the Top Group advance to the Final.
The 3rd and 4th place teams play off for Bronze.
Final placements are decided by total points scored across both rounds (not just wins).
📊 SCORING & RANKINGS
Each Americano match is played to 24 points total.
Example:
If Team 1 (Player A + Player B) beats Team 2 (Player C + Player D) by 14–10,
Players A and B both receive 14 points, while C and D each receive 10 points.
All player and team points are added up across the day.
Americano Table Key:
W–T–L: Wins, ties, losses
Diff: Difference between points won and lost
Points: Total points earned
In case of level total points, the following tiebreakers apply (in order):
Highest points difference
Most wins
Head-to-head result (if applicable)
👑 CROWN RANKING SYSTEM
Every event counts toward your Crown Ranking which is a season-long leaderboard tracking your total points earned across all tournaments to give you the chance of qualifying for regional and national tournaments.
Even if you don’t reach the final, every single rally scored improves your personal and team ranking.
