Understanding Crown Padel Tour
The Crown Padel Tour has been built to create structured, competitive and enjoyable tournament padel across the UK.
As the tour continues to grow, we’ve introduced a clearer structure around our divisions, categories and tournament formats to help players better understand where they fit within the Crown Padel Tour environment.
Whether you are entering your first competitive event or competing for some of the biggest prizes we offer, every category has been designed to create high-quality matches and a strong tournament experience.
Our Divisions
Division 1
High-level. Fast. Intense.
Division 1 is designed for advanced and high-level competitive players competing for the biggest prizes available on the Crown Padel Tour.
This is the highest standard of competition on the tour and is built for experienced players looking to test themselves against strong opposition in a structured tournament environment.
Division 1 events feature larger cash prizes, official Crown Padel rankings, group stages, knockout rounds and some of the strongest players competing across the UK tour.
If you regularly compete at a high level and are looking for the toughest matches available on the Crown Padel Tour, Division 1 is where you belong.
Division 2
Challenging. Tough. Progressing.
Division 2 is designed for strong club-level players wanting competitive tournament experience while continuing to develop their game.
These events are still highly competitive, but are aimed at players progressing toward higher-level competition and wanting structured matches without the full intensity of Division 1.
Division 2 provides players with the opportunity to compete for strong prize pools, gain tournament experience and test themselves in a serious but accessible competitive environment.
If you are confident at club level and want to challenge yourself in organised tournament play, Division 2 is likely the best fit.
Division 3
Developing. Accessible. Entry-level.
Division 3 has been introduced for developing players who are newer to tournament competition and want the opportunity to compete in a structured event environment.
The focus of Division 3 is progression, enjoyment and building confidence through competitive matches.
These events are ideal for players beginning their competitive journey while still wanting the full Crown Padel Tour experience, including group stages, knockout rounds, rankings and prizes.
Division 3 creates an environment where newer tournament players can continue improving while competing against players at a similar stage in their development.
Men’s Doubles vs Open Doubles
The Crown Padel Tour operates different event categories depending on the tournament.
Men’s Doubles events are open to male pairings only.
Open Doubles events are open to all pairing combinations. This includes men’s pairs, women’s pairs and mixed doubles pairings competing within the same category.
Open categories allow players greater flexibility when entering events and create opportunities for a wider variety of pairings to compete.
Women’s Doubles
The Women’s Doubles category is designed specifically for female pairings competing within their own structured tournament environment.
Women’s events feature separate rankings, separate prizes and dedicated competition designed to continue growing the women’s side of the Crown Padel Tour.
These events maintain the same structured tournament format as all Crown Padel Tour competitions, including group stages, knockout rounds and official rankings.
Mixed Doubles
Mixed Doubles events consist of one male and one female player per team competing within a dedicated mixed category.
Mixed events have their own rankings, prizes and tournament structure and are designed to create a unique competitive format within the tour.
Mixed Doubles continues to be one of the fastest-growing categories within the Crown Padel Tour and offers a different style of competition compared to traditional doubles categories.
Structured Tournament Padel Across The UK
Every Crown Padel Tour event is built around a structured tournament format designed to create competitive and enjoyable matches throughout the day.
Events typically include group stages followed by knockout rounds, with official rankings, cash prizes and professional event coverage across the tour.
The Crown Padel Tour continues to host events across multiple cities throughout the UK while building one of the country’s fastest-growing competitive padel communities.
